Musky Tournaments

 

Each year we hold an annual spring and fall musky tournament, complete with a steak-fry after the tournament.  The rules for the contest are  listed below. A small entry fee of $50.00 dollars is charged for  each participant.  Barker Lake and the surrounding waters have produced some great musky fishing at this time of year as the muskies settle into their early feeding habits after spawning.


 

                       Tournament Rules:                          

Lakes open to tournaments include Barker, Hunter,
Blaisdell, Barber, Winter, and Fish Trap.
Contest begins on the first day at 12:00 and ends
on the third day at 11:00.
Women are encouraged to enter the tournament.
Ice fishing Contest is
1/19/08 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

The Spring Musky Tournament runs
June 20,21&22 2008
no entries after June 7-2008

The Fall Musky Tournament runs from
Sept-19,20, & 21 2008
no entries after September 13-2008

May-3 & 4 2008


Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places kept or released


Walleye Tournament

Our walleye tournament will be held again  in May.  The lakes in the tournament area, as well as many of the lakes in the East Fork area,  are truly underrated and seldom fished. You will have a great opportunity to fish your old familiar waters or to explore new and mysterious waters. All of our entrants will receive a door prize.  The East Fork holds many walleyes that are returning from their spawning runs in the river, so please take some  time to look at the river.  We sponsor a buffet  for all of the  tournament contestants. 

 

 

Tournament Rules

Lakes open to the tournament are Barker, Hunter, Blaisdell, Barker
Winter and the Chippewa River from Highway B Bridge
to Sturgeon Bay in Blaisdell Lake

Tournament begins at the beginning of fishing season and ends the following day at 12:00
May 7th & 8th 2008
 Cash prize for the heaviest stringer of legal walleye
 Entry fee paid in advance $30.00 per 2-person team
Entry fee paid in advance $15.00 per person
 No entries after April 30th,2008
