Full-service guiding for the East and West Forks of the Chippewa, as well as grouse, deer and bear hunting trips.

Fishing: When we say that the East and West Forks of the Chippewa River are never fished or visited we mean just that.  From their  long reaches to their journey to the Chippewa Flowage, each fork is seldom used. Nearby, the highly productive Flambeau River is just as quite.  My guide service focuses on the secluded waterways of each river where both fish and wildlife are undisturbed and waiting for the fisherman throughout the year  and hunters in the fall, where my fall trips include grouse, bear and deer hunting.

River Trips: My river trips include full-day fishing adventures for musky, walleye and smallmouth bass, one of the growing and stable fish populations in each river.  The East Fork is an unknown fishery for lake sturgeon. The lakes that dot each river hold numbers of panfish and crappies.  Overnight trips are available on the Flambeau where we can get into some excellent  water and fish far away from any fisherman.  The Flambeau has excellent fishing for catfish, one of my specialties.

Hunting: Besides our underrated lakes and rivers, the Winter area hosts some of the best hunting for whitetail deer, bear  and perhaps some of the best ruffled grouse hunting in northern Wisconsin.  If you use a bow or rifle, you are going to find big deer and plenty of big game  opportunities. My guide service also carters to bear hunters and baiting for both bear and deer, whatever is effective and will  bring you results.  With a large national forest surrounding our small village, there is plenty of quiet spots and lots of game.  This last year was one of the better seasons for grouse hunting, so please call ahead to find out what the season looks like ahead of your plans.
